All Star Cheerleading is an exciting and growing sport in the UK. Unlike side-line cheerleading with pom-poms, it is a physically challenging, high energy sport in its own right that combines jumps, tumbles, stunts, pyramids and dance to creating daring wow performances. Competitive cheerleading uses all of the above elements to produce routines that are competed at regional, national and international level. Cheerleaders train regularly as part of a team, combining learning skills with conditioning and drills.
Becoming a cheerleader not only gives young people the chance to master new physical skills, but also provides vital life skills that will stay with them far beyond their time on the squad. A child who practices good sportsmanship is likely to carry the respect and appreciation of others into every aspect of their life. They learn what it is to be a team player, to commit to excellence and success, to be focused on creating goals and working hard to meet them and develop in to responsible, empowered young adults, ready to go out and inspire others.
